- Strengthening Root Architecture in Fenugreek Using Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder
Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder is an advanced biofertilizer produced through Root Organ Culture (ROC) technology, ensuring purity and high spore viability. Each gram delivers 35,000–40,000 active spores of Glomus intraradices, G. mosseae, G. clarus, and G. etunicatum. By forming a beneficial symbiosis with plant roots, it significantly enhances the absorption of nutrients like phosphorus and zinc, strengthens root systems, and boosts stress and drought tolerance. Suitable for all crops, it nurtures soil fertility naturally—helping farmers achieve healthier plants, sustainable productivity, and reduced reliance on chemical fertilizers.
Aditi Bijalwan
Location: Junagadh, Gujarat
Crop: Fenugreek (Methi)
Planting Date: 7th September 2025
Observation Date: 5th October 2025
Duration: 30 days
Background:
Fenugreek, a widely grown legume crop in Gujarat, is acknowledged for its high nutritional and medicinal value. However, farmers frequently face challenges such as weak root systems, nutrient deficiencies, and poor soil structure, especially in intensively cultivated regions like Junagadh.
To address these issues, Agrilogy Bioscience Pvt. Ltd. introduced Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder, a high-spore Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (VAM) biofertilizer, to test its root colonization efficiency and impact on early plant development.
Trial Objectives:
To evaluate the effectiveness of Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder on:
- Root volume and branching
- Soil aggregation and root–soil adhesion
- Overall seedling vigor and early-stage growth
Methodology:
Two identical sets of fenugreek seedlings were grown in controlled field conditions:
- Treatment: Soil inoculated with Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder at the time of sowing.
- Control: No Mycorrhiza applied.
All other factors—watering, sunlight exposure, and soil composition—remained identical across both sets.
Key Observations (After 30 Days)
| Parameters | With AgRight Mycorrhiza VAM | Without VAM |
|---|---|---|
| Root Growth | Dense, fibrous, and well-branched | Sparse and thin roots |
| Root–Soil Binding | Strong soil aggregation | Weak soil adhesion |
| Plant Vigor | Uniform and fast growth | Slow, uneven emergence |
| Root Color | Dark brown with visible hyphae | Pale brown, weak root mass |

Visual evidence from Junagadh trial clearly shows thicker, healthier root systems in Mycorrhiza-treated plants compared to untreated control.
Results Summary:
- Root biomass: Increased by 60–70%
- Early plant vigor: Improved germination uniformity and root spread
- Soil texture: Enhanced micro-aggregate formation and moisture retention
- Nutrient uptake: Noticeable improvement in P and Zn availability
Scientific Insight:
Agright Mycorrhiza VAM establishes a symbiotic association with root cells, extending the plant’s effective root network. This results in:
- Better access to immobile nutrients (Phosphorus, Zinc, and Micronutrients)
- Improved drought tolerance through extended hyphal water absorption
- Long-term soil enrichment and reduced fertilizer dependency
Farmer Feedback:
“After using Agright Mycorrhiza, our fenugreek roots became stronger and healthier in just one month. The plants looked more vibrant and grew faster even with less chemical fertilizer.”

Conclusion:
The Junagadh Fenugreek Trial validates that Agright Mycorrhiza VAM Powder not only strengthens the root foundation but also revitalizes soil health.
Within 30 days of application, the difference was visibly striking — denser roots, better soil structure, and higher plant vigor, proving that biological inoculants like VAM can play a central role in sustainable crop production.
